Regeneration itself is a process of restoring 100% of the functional properties of worn or damaged recirculators. It can be a comprehensive treatment, as a result of which the required shape, dimensions, parameters and properties necessary for further operation are restored to the parts.
As a rule, it consists of replacing the elements with new ones. In the case of exhaust gas recirculators, it consists of replacing the shell-and-tube cooler together with gaskets, O-rings and screws.
The recirculator is subjected to a leak test several times, also using the innovative so-called « dry » method.
